AOYAMA TECHNICAL COLLEGE

area: 渋谷/SHIBUYA

information

AOYAMA TECHNICAL COLLEGE was built in 1990 from an international competition. It was the architects first built project. The project was built on a “natural born” site in a area with no relation to the civic planning, and where buildings of various sizes stood along each other. With no historical value, and no nature to preserve, the site was an un-even shape which created architectural restrictions along with the building regulations. What is needed, and what has to be done in these conditions? This was my starting point. The rest of the story is on my web-site. http://www.makoto-architect.com
