BRAND / CREATOR
Yoshifumi Tara
Born in Shizuoka, currently residing in Fukuoka City.
A graduate of Musashino Art University and the Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts, he is currently an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Kyushu University.
Starting with materials, he pursues practices that fuse technology, science, and art, seeking to transform perception and experience by giving new context to materials and processing techniques that have remained unused at the research stage.
As a science artist, he advocates the slogan “Science into Culture,” reconfiguring the relationship between scientific phenomena and human senses in spatial and physical terms. In recent years, he has incorporated materials engineering perspectives, aiming for material-driven design with practical applications through material development and prototyping.
He continues to reveal the depth of science not by “using” phenomena, but by “touching” them.

Nagi Kamahara
Born in Tokyo, based in Fukuoka, with roots in both Taiwan and Japan. Graduated from Musashi University, Faculty of Humanities.
While not from an art school background, she joined a major telecommunications company as its only in-house designer among regular employees, participating in multiple new business launches from concept to execution. Her work spanned business planning, product development, experience design, and creative production. In her previous role, she also launched a new business in the education field.
Currently, she works as a planner at a design firm in Fukuoka.
Her artistic and design practice explores “human-ness” from a humanities perspective, aiming to shape sensibilities shared across eras and regions. She particularly focuses on the spiritual essence of Jomon culture, reinterpreting and weaving it into the present under the theme of “Neo-Jomon.”
