IROCO Design was the brainchild of Alex Henrich in response to an increasing demand for beautiful designer furniture brands in Asia’s major cultural hubs.
Recognizing the lack of resources connecting buyers with global design brands, they launched IROCO Design to streamline accessibility for professional buyers across Asia, offering both rental and contract sales services.
Established in Hong Kong in 2010, and launching in Tokyo in 2013, there are two sides to the business: IROCO Design for Rent and IROCO Design for Contract.
Design for Rent has helped create a multitude of elegant, unusual, and imaginative events using beautiful rental furniture for clients including the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Rugby World Cup, Bulgari, Mastercard, Google, Art Basel HK, Tokyo Gendei, Tokyo Infiniti Motor Show, etc.
In 2018, and drawing on extensive industry experience, IROCO Design for Contract, available at iroco.com, was launched to address the fragmented and inefficient buying process for designer furniture. Changing the way Japan sources great design, Iroco.com is an online platform offering a complete solution from ideation to installation - aggregating thousands of designer furniture products from 200+ of the leading global brands, offering ideation, technical files, competitive trade discounts, dedicated account management, and seamless door-to-door delivery to the contract market.
