Straft
Craft unit by Tamaki Ishii and Kazuma Yamagami. In 2021, after graduating from Tokyo Zokei University Industrial Design Major, started activities as Straft based in Tokyo. Using the rice straw that remains after harvesting rice as his main material, he creates works that incorporate a modern sensibility into the unvarnished beauty of natural materials. They are active in a wide range of activities beyond the framework of crafts, such as cultivating red rice, which is said to have grown wild in the Jomon period, and selling New Year's decorations on the street, learning from the old merchant culture.
