TOMOKO SAITO
Born in a family which lasts for ten generations in Kyoto. Growing up in Japanese traditional culture, the scent of sandalwood inspired her and started pursuing her passion for creating scent.
She has created over 6,000 kinds of scent using natural essential oils during 15 years of her carrier.
One of her best-known-work for Panasonic Exhibition “TRANSITIONS - the most beautiful air in Milan"
moved 600,000 people in Milano Salone. “TRANSITIONS” won Milano design award / Best technology award and earned a great reputation.
Besides producing custom scent for business enterprises in and outside of Japan, she gets quite a few art related projects
such as creating scent for museums.
In recent years, she has been active to expand the possibilities of natural scent such as producing custom scent for corporations, brands, cosmetics, coordinating with distilleries, doing marketing research and so on.
Her unique style of using classic Japanese wooden scent stands out among other experts and she continues to inspire people from a wide range of generations to learn the new value of natural scent.
