Mechanism of Landscapes - Furniture Robots generating Polysemic and Dynamic Spaces

Self-driving cars, delivery robots, and other machine intelligence with moving ability around are being now all around us. Even if those intelligences and capabilities are simple, what kind of environment are we in when they crosses a certain amount in our urban landscape?

If such furniture robots be able to invoke people's actions, such as placing an object or sitting down, and to create a sense of place? Could such robots create dynamic and polysemic spaces? What kind of urban landscape would such a space create?

With these research questions in mind, we are developing shape-changing mobile furniture robot.
